Mr. Bobby Joe Wood - A native of Tylertown, MS and a resident of Satsuma, AL died Wednesday, December 16, 2009 in a local hospital. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Satsuma. He retired from Scott Paper Company after 30 years of service. Mr. Wood was a U.S. Navy veteran who served on the USS Midway from 1959-1963. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Wood; son, Scott M. (Kim) Wood; daughter, Natalie (Jeff) Hardegree; one brother, William (Esther) Wood; two sisters, Willie Grace Steward and Blanche Long; four grandchildren, Morgan, Alex, Seth and Abby; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12:00 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society . Arrangements are by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, AL.
