Classmates, Sorry I cannot be there for this year’s reunion, but I wanted to say hello and provide a brief news update about myself and my family. I am so thankful to be enjoying good health as well as countless other blessings. My work is still full time at Larry’s Civil Engineering firm, but we plan to retire during the coming year at which point we plan to do some stateside traveling, babysitting the grandchildren, and maybe get back to playing golf. Larry and I have sold our home in Knoxville, Tennessee, and will be moving in the next few days to our vacation home near Crossville, Tennessee. Soon after, we plan to find or build a new home in the Atlanta, Georgia area to be closer to our grandchildren. We have 3 wonderful children: Our daughter Kim had a brief professional career after college and is now married to Andy Hogan. They have 2 sons, Drew and Conner, and live in Kennesaw, Ga. Our daughter Kara is a Registered Nurse and works at hospitals in Oak Ridge and Knoxville. She is married to Johnny Alley and lives in Norris, TN. Our son Zach and his wife Abby live in Nashville, TN with their 18 month old daughter Bailey. Zach works with the federal government and travels extensively. My parents are now deceased, but I still have family in Mobile, and I always enjoy visiting there, especially the beach! Larry has family connections in western Tennessee where we travel frequently as well. It sounds like the reunion committee has done a super job, and I will surely miss seeing everyone.
